Sawyerville, in Hale County, Alabama, is located at the junction of State Highway 14 and County Road 17, just between Eutaw and Greensboro, almost 2 hours southwest of Birmingham. It is a rural crossroads community with limited educational, medical, and employment resources and is one of many rural towns in the Blackbelt region of
the state.
The camp
has outgrown its original location at the Head Start center in
Sawyerville and has moved over the years to Eutaw and Greensboro, among other places. The 2012 camp sessions will be head at Greensboro Elementary and many thanks to the Hale County Board of Education for their participation and generousity!
