The Sawyerville Day Camp is again offering a very special Christmas card to help raise awareness of the day camp for 2012. This year, the cards were designed by Holly Ellis and Madeline Mullins of Church of the Nativity Episcopal Church. Madeline and Holly have taken some of the younger camper's artwork from this past summer and made a beautiful Christmas greeting card! View this year's card .
For each $10 gift to the camp, we will send the 2011 Sawyerville Day Camp Christmas card to the person (s) of your choosing. We will indicate to the recipient that a gift was made in their honor to the camp by you. We can also mail you the cards and you can fill them out and send them to friends and family if you wish.
Sawyerville Day Camp is a two week long Christian summer day camp in Hale County, Alabama sponsored by the Episcopal Diocese of Alabama. Campers come to camp at no cost and there is no staff fee. The staff is made up of high school aged young people, college students and adults from all over the Diocese and Hale County. This past summer we served 447 campers and had our largest set of volunteer staff yet! The support of the Diocese has helped us continue to grow and serve this community. Our goals are to serve the Church through outreach, to improve race relations in Alabama, and to broaden horizons of both the campers and the staff.
