How can I be on Staff?

The Sawyerville Work Project exists due to the time given by the youth and college students who serve on its staff.  One of the most important aspects of the camp is Peer Ministry – youth ministering to and serving other youth.

To be on staff, you must be entering 10th grade and be 15 years old.  You must also complete the camp application in its entirety and get it in by the application deadline.  It is also important that you be able to be at the camp the entire time and to be present at a one-day staff training before the camp.  There will be a staff selection meeting soon after the deadline and you will find out if you were selected to be on staff by email or phone soon after.

In past years, we received a record number of applications for the camp and had to make the difficult decision of who could and couldn’t be on staff.  It is very important that you fulfill all the requirements listed above.  We do place people on a waiting list so if some staff are not able to come and we have been able to call some people on the list.
