Latest News June 8, 2009 We need your prayers! This year is the sixteenth year that the Youth Department of the Diocese of Alabama in conjunction with the Sawyerville Commission has served more than 250 campers (ages 6-14) at the Sawyerville Day camp in Hale County.  Parishioners from all over the diocese have always generously supported the camp with bathing suit and camp supply drives as well as providing meals for the staff.  Another important way to serve the staff is by being a prayer partner.  Prayer Partners provide vital spiritual support to the staff and counselors. Serving on the day camp staff can be tiring, frustrating, challenging and overwhelming at times!  It is wonderful to receive a note of thoughtful encouragement from parishioners from all over the Diocese.   Prayer partners are asked to write seven letters of encouragement for every day of the camp during the first session (July 12-18). We ask that you pray for your assigned staff member everyday we are in Hale County. We would also love to have prayer partners for the second camp, our new mini-camp that will take place this summer after the full session.
